Customers from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia headed to Madrid for PPG MVP bodyshop management training

At PPG MVP Business Solutions EMEA, we provide a wide range of training, tools and services covering bodyshop business strategy and how to run a successful car (auto) bodyshop. These tools are designed to help our customers optimise their business performance and operations for maximum profitability.

Earlier this year, we invited some of our key customers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to join us for a training session where we presented and discussed the latest trends in the refinish market as well as demonstrating process improvements through the use of MVP tools. These customers are multi-shop operators (MSOs) responsible for a network of bodyshops in the region.

The training session was organised in collaboration with IPC – PPG’s distributor for KSA – and took place in July at the MSI Motor & Sport Institute in Madrid, Spain. MSI is a unique facility around 12,000m2 in size and dedicated to training, technology, innovation and sport, making it the perfect location to host our customers.

Exploring new tools and processes

This session gave us the opportunity to introduce new key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to cycle time and throughput which support bodyshop owners in measuring the performance of their body and paint shops.

The following presentations were delivered by our experts:

  • ‘PPG Power of Innovation’ - Xavi Pegueroles, collision segment manager, south Europe
  • ‘Refinish trends in the Iberica market’ - Jose Luis Guerrero Inés, new business manager, PPG Iberica
  • ‘Refinish trends in the EMEA regions’ - Jesús Cuevas Rodriguez, business development director, PPG Refinish, EMEA
  • ‘PPG LINQ’ - Carles Maronda Isern, marketing operations manager, MEA
  • ‘Digitalisation’ - Alberto Gonzalez, business solutions director PPG refinish, EMEA
  • MSO pack offer and new KPIs – Dejan Zivkovic, business solutions manager EMEA

We also presented the MVP toolbox which is used to improve bodyshops’ productivity and efficiency and reduce costs, as well as introducing standardised repair processes which can be used across a network of collision shops.

Our customers from KSA enjoyed this training session and found it valuable for discovering new ways to boost profitability. This has also helped to strengthen PPG’s relationships and reputation with customers in the Middle East, as well as proving our ability as a trusted partner to support businesses in improving their performance.
